The depth depends on how fast you are trolling the lure and the line angle (riggers or flat lines) and the amount of line out. With that being said, a standard depth is approx 6 -12" at normal speeds. We recommend the Fatboy trolling lure be fished as is without any added dead bait or ballyhoo. Most of our pre-rigged trolling lures are designed to be pulled lure only unless otherwise specified.

The Fatboy trolling lure can be pulled up to +20knts with the help of a trolling lead and shock leader. However, without additional weight 10-12knts is max trolling speed depending on how far back the lure is.
