Answer:

10.2oz is the skirted weight only. So that includes trolling lure head, two skirts and hook lock. There is no rigging (hookset or leader) included in that weight.

Best position for this lure? And also is this lure supposed to go with ballyhoo or without?

Answer:

Most of our trolling lures are intended to be trolled with no ballyhoo or dead bait unless specified. Each lure head shape offers a unique swimming motion and action when run naked (without bait). We offer a pre-rigged version of this lure that is rigged an ready to fish, simply clip to your mainline and go. The Calico Jack Slant Large is super flexible on where it can be run, however the nose angle allows it to run really well even with low line angle (long rigger etc.) but can be run closer as well.

can you make skirts to fit my 16" lures that have a 2 1/8" neck?

We make all of our skirts right here in our building in North Carolina, and we offer more colors and sizes than any other company in the world. We have a number of our top producing colors and sizes that can be found HERE, however if you are looking for something outside this range, simply call us at 910-399-6882 and we can help you with your sizing requests.

Thanks for the question: We can rig any of our lures in house. Our big game trolling lures are typically rigged on 500# mono leader with our MUSTAD 7691S hookset. While we work on adding this functionality to the website, simply e-mail info@fathomoffshore.com with your requests and we will be happy to get it together for you.

I just purchased 3 Tinker Mackeral. I did not see an option for replacement skirts. Can I get them?

Answer:

Yes, we do sell the Tinker Mackerel skirts on the site. The Calico Jack Slant takes an OC50 skirt size. The outer lure replacement skirt can be found CLICK HERE. The inner skirt is solid black and can be found CLICK HERE.

Do you make a small version of the tinker mackerel calico Jack lure - say in the 6”-8” range?

Answer:

We can make the Tinker Mackerel and Calico Jack smaller in the 9" to 10" range, and even smaller with a caveat: The design and patterns are created for that size, so making it smaller will alter the pattern and spacing of the black bones on the inside.
